Autumn Leaves

Autumn leaves are falling

that slowly touch the ground,

it reminds me of the love

you and I have found.

Soft and crisp and gentle

is how the leaves will land,

as I’m walking through the forest

I can feel you take my hand.

Lead me on the path

of the golden autumn leaves,

my heart and soul will find you

and the things I must believe.

When the darkness falls

there’s a chill that’s in the air,

it brings a snow white frost

on the branches that are bare.

Soon the autumn leaves

will be blanketed with snow,

then rest down on the forest floor

that’s where our love will grow.

My love for changing seasons

has opened up my soul,
